Top Midfielder Turns Down 3 PSL Clubs!
Young Africans star, Stephane Aziz Ki, has turned down offers from three major Premier Soccer League (PSL) clubs.
Back in April, rumours circulated that Aziz Ki had attracted interest from three PSL outfits: Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.
In particular, Sundowns were said to be keen on the 28-year-old Burkinabe midfielder, who impressed coach Rhulani Mokwena with his performance during their CAF Champions League match against Yanga earlier that month.
In an interview with a local soccer outlet (published on Saturday, 20 July), Aziz Ki confirmed that those reports were true. Nevertheless, despite these clubs’ interest, he has decided to stay at Young Africans for the upcoming season.
“[These clubs] came straight to me, but what I said was that I never finished my job with Young Africans,” Aziz Ki explained. “For me, it’s like one project between me and the team. I want to go far with this team … I have to come back to work and then go further with this team.
“So many clubs here [in South Africa] came to me, but I need to finish my job here at Yanga.”
